In addition to hurting our league, this would also make me vomit.

Hope he doesn't go

Tulsa just can't keep their coaches-they've hit on so many great hirers though in last 2 decades

Manning has a nice 7 man Sophomore Class at Tulsa that is the core of the program which might give him some room to stay

Normally I would think this is a no-brainer, but Tulsa is moving into a strong conference and Wake is a bit of a sinkhole right now. Their AD is on thin ice, and if he is fired then his replacement may want to clean house.

Has Manning accomplished so much already that such a hire is warranted?
:?

He won 11 straight games from Feb to March...earning Tulsa their first NCAA bid in 11 years.

Tulsa has offered him 1 million per year, with raises for assts...its his decision now...he's touring Wake today...decision in 24 hours.

He has accomplished more than the people Marquette, Northwestern (last year) and USF have hired.

Really hope he stays for the sake of the AAC. But I do not think he has any Tulsa ties that would keep him there if the Wake deal is a good offer. At least Larry Brown would not have to agonize over coaching against him.

The Tulsa basketball program is the equivalent of the LA. Tech job for football. Both excellent stepping stones for a coach to win and move up.

Wake is the worst of the ACC jobs, but they are all probably a lot more money.
