Adjusting on the fly

The SMU men's basketball team has been plagued in the postseason by slow starts, leaving the Mustangs behind in three of their four NIT games so far. Of course, they have won all four, including Tuesday's semifinal over Clemson, and guard Nick Russell said a big part of the reason for SMU's turnarounds is the presence on the sideline of Larry Brown, who Russell said gives SMU a big advantage with his experience-driven halftime speeches.
