You have to wonder if a FSU team that would not have the scouting report from a dad who coached against SMU 2x in the regular season would have been a different game.

My game ball goes to Rick Pitino - great job Rick.

Was Rick responsible for our unforced turnovers?

No. SMU was responsible for its own unforced turnovers. To attack Rick Pitino (and he is a real character) for this aspect is pointing it in the wrong direction.

SMU was this close to taking control of this game but when your season-long Achilles heel rears up at the crucial time, then we have nobody to blame but ourselves.

We lost. It happens. It's over. Time to move on.

Yeah, that smug SoB (Applebee's Pitino) was responsible for the unforced turnovers. I don't know how, but he definitely was responsible!

B1GPonyFan is correct.

But I still don't like that slime bag (Rick Pitino).

I was pulling for FSU but whatever. Next.

It's not attacking any Pitino or making any excuses to suggest that dad gave son some wisdom on how to beat us. You use everything you legally have at your disposal to overcome an opponent.

This is exactly my point. Florida State would not have had this sort of advantage against us.

It is very possible that Rick had a lot to do with the game planning. And it is very evident that he was advising his son during the game.

Had LOU moved onto the Final Four, Rick would not have had the time to help out the Gophers.

Yes - SMU has themselves to blame - but my point is that we would have been better off against FSU.
