Does anyone know how many people watched out championship game last night?

I would think we might have pulled one of the highest tv ratings last night

The numbers are probably pretty low, but infinitely higher than if we weren't playing. I know a lot of my non-SMU friends and colleagues watched, so it probably did OK in Dallas specifically and definitely increased our print/internet media exposure noticeably.

You have to think we pulled in a whole lot more viewers than last years game of Baylor vs Iowa

Yeah, but "pawn stars" kick everybody's [deleted].

Man, looking at these numbers just makes me even have a less opinion of our culture these days.

Haha, is anyone else surprised that Full House pulled in more viewers as well?

I had no idea that show was still on TV

I certainly do not have any stats, but I had comments from at least 20 friends today that they were watching and pulling for SMU. Not bad for out in the boon docks Pennsylvania.

search for "NIT TOURNAMENT"

If this is supposedly the 18-49 demo, what is up with all the kids shows?
:?

Share not so high, but it was prime time. Over 1.3 mil viewers.

Darren Wolfson ‏@DarrenWolfson 14h
Just got #Gophers-SMU local TV ratings. Holy bleep! Peaked at a 13 rating. For comparison: 10p SportsCenter normally does a 0.1 rating.

Darren Wolfson is a sports writer from Minneapolis, so I assume the "local" ratings are for Minnesota. They might not be a big market, but everyone in the state cheers for the Gophers. It makes sense that everyone up there watched. I wonder how the ratings in DFW were...

While I think the ratings are interesting, ratings don't tell the full story. The perception and buzz is much more meaningful than actual viewers. The free media we got from the snub and making a big NIT run gave us is incalculable.
