Should we get our hopes up to get into this tournament? final games in NYC Nov 26-28 which is Thanksgiving weekend. SMU had a great fan turnout in MSG which should entice the selection committee. SMU could host the first few rounds in Moody. Would improve our OOC schedule.

Don't you mean preseason NIT tournament? And yes, we should jump at the opportunity

Agreed. That would be awesome. Pre-season tourney, that is.

I would expect UCONN to get the go ahead before us. Since they are the reigning champs.

And UCONN would pack MSG….if they got there.
This would be a fantastic opportunity and, given our decent result (both in competition and fan attendance) we should certainly be on their radar. Would definitely help out OOC as well..

If you check the link in the thread of Pre-season tourney that I just put up you will notice that UCONN is booked in Puerto Rico until 11/23. I'm not sure they can commit to the Pre-season NIT.

Best early tourney. And that would be great exposure . . . especially if we WIN.
