Terrible venue from a basketball fan's perspective. Great venue from the NCAA's perspective

Isn't it up again to be an option in 2017?

NCAA cash grab. If they gave a damn about the fan experience, they'd stick to venues like the AAC that were actually designed for basketball.
Not to mention greedy Jerry building the stadium out in the middle of nowhere so DART wouldn't steal his precious parking revenue... the place is a nightmare to get to.

Horrible beyond words. Jerryworld is to bball what McD's is to hamburgers.

Any football stadium is a bad venue for basketball and miserable for hockey. I made a concerted effort not to watch the big board last night and it was hard, but I could follow the game.
That being said, I agree with Bob Sturm. players are 6+ feet tall in FB and BB; it all depends on what you are used to. Funny how the winter classic is viewed as quaint when your view is much worse.
If you play this game in a 20,000 seat arena, demand would drive ticket prices much higher faster and especially scalped tickets higher faster.

Yeah, if SMU makes a national title game, I'll be glad it's in a dome because other tickets for a final in a 20,000 arena would be through the roof expensive.
