I wonder when some SMU posters will start berating McClure like they are Turner for announcing this far into the recruiting process on a day all by himself which happens to be only one day before Turner announces .

Because he was running out of options. I've heard from several reliable sources that his "list" of schools was missing a few actual offers. Kid is falling like a rock.

You've been saying that for two days. That really sounds like KU spin because they knew they weren't going to get him. Or next you're going to tell us KU really backed off because of whatever reason. That's fine. If that clears your conscious, go with it. I read where he had some knee injuries but really, a lot of players get hurt. The kid is freaking ranked by every major service in the top 100 or top 50 so it's not like he's awful.

If SMU found a way to get him, we would all be pretty charged about this. At least, I know I would. But I'm sure the gang of 30 would find a way to be ticked off.

Umm, McClure is class of 2015. He's actually announcing very, very early dude.

Turner is class of 2014.

I've heard from multiple sources he didn't have a KU offer. He was at KU for Late Nite, but since then he's been injured and dropping like a rock. He was likely 15-20+ on KU's wish list (if that high) with only 3-4 spots to fill. Do the math. Never said the guy "was awful", but that he's falling fast. Don't be surprised to see him 60-75 in the final rankings (again, not that 60-75 is chopped liver by any means). I was simply adding one fan's perspective on why he could be announcing early. He was selling as high as he could. He could end up being a great 3-4 year player for Baylor.
