Steve Fisher/SDSU wants 16 game MWC Schedule

If the bottom half (I guess 2/3's) of the conference doesn't start pulling its weight in a few years, this might be something we should look into for the AAC.
Doesn't look like Fisher is going to get it through, but he has some good points.

this is the problem with taking on a "football only" member. It really messes up the bball scheduling. I agree more non-conference games allows a conference to boost it's RPI. AAC is going to face the same challenge with the new schools coming in

Conferences like The American should definitely do this - and also strategically schedule the good teams to not have to play the ridiculously horrible teams so they don't have any RPI-killers on their schedule.

It does make a lot of sense. I wonder if SDSU regrets not joining the AAC when it was first proposed. If SDSU and Boise State had stayed the course it would have been better for them and the AAC.
