This is my wish for our last ship. I read recently that we were on him. International sharp shooter. He is 6'5" and only 16 years old. Turns 17 in June and is a 2014 recruit if he chooses to go to college. Supposed to be coming to the United States soon. Due to NBA rules he'd have to play college ball for 2 years since he is so young. But he could also play overseas and then go pro.
Frontrunners apparently are Kansas, Virginia, Oregon, Michigan, SMU

Could be wrong. But, I thought foreign high school players ARE NOT subjected to the 1 year college rules? Believe Dante Exum would be an example. Dante is a 2014 recruit. But, looks like he's going straight from Australia to the NBA.

I thought you had to be 19 years old to go to the NBA, so either goes to college or plays out of the states for 2 more years.

This kid can ball! Impressive... This kid's game is on a different level. We need this kid! He knows how to create room for his shot. He has a quick release. He is not just a shooter. More than anything else he plays confident. He is not afraid to take the ball to the basket. He actually plays some defense. All traits that I wish Mr. Keith Frazier had. Yes, I am calling out KF. Our McDonald's All-American. Hope those traits are coachable. Would love to see KF play like this kid! Pony Up!

i'm sure KF is really concerned about you calling him out. Jeez - what a waste of broadband.

I thought he would be a 2015 recruit if he decides to attend college. Regardless, he'd be an amazing get. He's a 5-star talent but last I read he's likely to play in a pro league back home until he's 19.

He is 2014 if he wants it. He graduated schooling overseas and his father is a College Professor and word is any testing won't be a problem. Last week KU sounded like they were in a good position, but UVA is acting like he was theirs if he goes the college route. I believe his old teammate played or does play for UVA.
Someone floated a may 21st deadline for him to announce if he is going to college or staying put till he is 19 and allowed to go to the NBA.

With the foreign players its not usually the grades or scores but its the NCAA required core courses that often force them to go to a prep school for a year.

Article says he is visiting Kansas now and plans to visit Virginia. No mention of us currently.
This story gives a little more info about SM's game. They list a few other schools interested but nothing about SMU. I wouldn't be concerned because I know we are in the mix. LB doesn't mess around. #godfather

Plus the fact that most have played for non-school teams that are probably professional and the NCAA issue is whether or not they meet amateur status.

Whoever wrote this article should be put down for comparing this kid to Dirk. Plays nothing like Dirk ever did besides the fact that they're both European and can shoot. Strange thing to say.
