Good story on Tyler Davis and SMU. I was very impressed with Davis at the EYBL. Would love to see Davis along with his teammate Hogg in a Mustang uniform.

I like his game, too, from what I've seen in videos.

I believe he's finally close to being 100%. He's a BIG kid, and I mean that in a good way. He has the ability to dominate the game in the paint.

Watching Plano West next season will be like watching an AAU team. I'll be shocked if they don't win state. A public school with 3 players in the national top 52. That's crazy.

I'll be there but how will you watch them from El Porto?

Moved back to Dallas in Nov '13 (haven't changed my profile). El Porto is the greatest place to live in Merica, IMO. I was renting a small 2/2 on 41st & Highland for more money than a mortgage would be for McMansion in Texas. Crazy, but I can't imagine there's a better place to live. Regardless, I'm glad to be back in the 75206.

This was my second swim through LA. Lived there for 5 years after graduation...hence my handle - LA_Mustang. I'm the anti Patton - I refuse to change my PF handle.

I really should have kept Patton. Nice to hear on Davis. Like him a lot.

Thanks for the bio info. You have been very active on the board and I thought maybe you
flew in for some of the games. So - maybe I'll see you at not only Mustang games but
also Plano West. They have been fun to watch and next year they will be a year older and
hopefully a year wiser. Hope some of them decide to come here.

Looks like the trending for both Hogg and Davis is to Baylor. I can't believe that out of all these great local kids SMU *MIGHT* get Mc. What the hell is going on?

It is still early. Remember how sudden the Mudiay shift was. Not to mention the more recent McQuaid swing. Besides we will still hopefully have a decent amount of returning talent. I do love your disappointment with a class with 2 4stars in its infancy. It means the expectations and actual situation has shifted.

I think last year was an eye opener and the Baylors and other slimy haves of the world are pulling out all of the stops to send smu back to its rightful place as a non factor

Which is why we will win in the end. Baylor cannot change the fact that they are located in Dump, Texas...sorry, Waco, TX..

If ET goes to UNLV (AG, too?), Hogg and Davis to Baylor, then it appears they'll have to fill 5+ from outside of Dallas. I would imagine they planed to fill 2+ with transfers, but that leaves at least three that could be below the D kids. I think all will work out fine, it's just a bit surprising.

I agree. I do not think staff are interested in ET. Out of shape does not agree with hard defense. I bet they will reallocate efforts to Davis and Hogg. Hopefully we can land another huge name as well. We will see how the tables turn when we are top 10 and destroying. Have them come to the UCONN game and see how they like that crowd.

Not quite getting this ET out of shape, and does not play defense. I've seen a couple of his high school games, and played well on both sides of the ball
