With the trajectory of this program - how long before we start moving big games to the AAC? I love Moody and our home court there - but curious if the almighty dollar is going to start rearing it's head?
Thoughts?

Agreed. SMU won't let that happen after just spending $50 million

Think in the future you will probably see at least 1 OOC game at the AAC. . . But, no AAC conference games at the AAC.

Completely agree. I doubt any big boys want to play us in Moody.

I bet it happens too. How about an SMU/Kentucky or North Carolina game. SMU actually played North Carolina at Reunion once

How about a holiday tourney there? We keep the conference and some of the big games at home but also bring in a stacked draw in a tourney format…kinda like the DMN Swim Classic.

Texas "championship " tourney in the early season: Horns, Baylor, Ags and Ponies slugging it out annually.

Or how about an annual tourney of the old SWC teams?

1) make our own holiday classic that we sponsor.
2) invite UT and Baylor and the top teams from east and west coast
3) Make it a party for the weekend - big stuff - like the NBA all star game
4) Kick their rears
5) repeat

I could see the Michigan return game being moved there or maybe have the game as part of doubleheader.

On a side note. . . If, SMU is playing @ TCwho this year. I hope it's at the FW Convention Center and not their 4,700 seat high school gym. Can probably find out more info from my dentist in FW, when I visit him at the end of July. He is a graduate of TCwho, does the dental work on all of the Frogs athletic teams, and is a $$$ donor to TCwho athletics. The last visit I had, I inquired about the location for next years TCU Basketball games. He told me all the FWCC dates could give TCwho was 3 openings. Said forget weekend games at the FWCC. But, I hope SMU-TCwho is one of the 3 opening dates at the FWCC. . . You would probably see around 3-5 thousand SMU fans in attendance.

I just talked to someone at SMU who wasn't for sure that we were heading to FW. And unless I'm missing something, I think TCU still owes us a trip over here. In LB's first year, we went to Daniel-Meyer. And I'm pretty sure that last year's meeting at the AAC was considered a neutral site game and not considered a home game for us.
We'll see. I just had a root canal. They suck.

No root canal. Just routine checkup for me. . . Believe if Moody was ready last year. It would have been SMU's turn to host, instead of playing TCU at the AAC.
