“@JonRothstein: Palpable buzz here at Temple surrounding Texas transfer Jaylen Bond. Will be a major contributor. Brings an edge. Can guard 5 positions.”

“@JonRothstein: The biggest difference in Temple this year and last year? Depth. Owls are two deep at every position. Also older and more experienced.”

“@JonRothstein: Would put Temple in the next tier of AAC teams after SMU. Owls should be right there with UConn, Cincinnati, and Memphis. Improved team.”

“@JonRothstein: Early prediction on Temple's starting five --- Will Cummings, Jesse Morgan, Quenton Decosey, Jaylen Bond, Devontae Watson....”

I liked Jaylen a lot when he was at Texas. He should definitely help them

Yes, their season last year was sort of a deviant season for them. Next year Temple should be back to being the historically solid BBall team that they have been. This further solidifies the AAC as a force to be reaconed with in college BBall.

hmm surprises me- I thought they lost a couple of their top young players. Good for AAC

Good to see we took Louisville's spot as the top AAC team. Now all we need is Football to take Louisville's spot and we should be set.

I think Temple has some transfers sitting out their year, last year. Similar to what we had to do in LB's first year. They should be pretty strong this year. Great depth.

Yes. Two of their projected starters are transfers that sat out last year - Morgan (UMass) and Bond (Texas)

I've thought the same all along and probably said it here once or twice. They had a bench full of transfers sitting out who would have made a difference last year. Guess what, it's not last year anymore. I'm really happy to see this. We need a solid top tier. Temple not only has the potential they also have the historical pedigree and the proven coach. Plus one for the AAC.

Temple's problem was depth last year. That will be fixed this year

Last year broke a streak of six straight NCAA tourney appearances by Temple. They're a traditional power and they will be good again soon. It has to [deleted] their fan base off that lil ole SMU is getting all this pub and just because of one bad season they're not even considered a factor by most in the AAC.
