We have debated the lofty expectations of this coming season. I'm just going to enjoy the ride. One thing that is certain - every home game will be sold out. I spoke someone at the ticket office today and there is now a waiting list for season tickets. How crazy is that? This has to be the first time in SMU history that a sport sells out every home game in a season. I can't freaking wait. It will be a historic season regardless of the results.

Several things need to remain - the opening with a few tweaks, a bigger MOB, SNA and the post game high 5 from the players around the court.

Expectation: a national championship.
Larry is all in with the two transfers, why shouldn't we be as well?

I'm coming home was appropriate for last season with the reopening of Moody, but I'd like a new theme song. Thanks that is all.

"Right here right now" and end the montage with a picture of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Also have the radio calls of big dunks/threes/etc over the music during the highlights

Next season we have to play like real champions: beat the teams we are supposed to beat, take care of business, and keep the foot on the throat all the way to Indianapolis. Losing on the road to a great team isn't the worst thing in the world, but we HAVE to beat the teams we are supposed to beat and take care of Moody. That's it. And I think we will. Because of talent, of course, but also because of coaching. I think the season might start a little slow (Mudiay getting adjusted and the new guys getting acclimated) and we'll see some bumps here and there but I like our chances in March and April. How we manage success is the key - last year it was adversity (on the road against UConn - taking care of LSU and Clemson and Cal in the NIT - we proved we can overcome adversity) now we have to show we can handle prosperity.

So I think the team has the talent to compete for a national championship it's not really fair to anyone to expect a final four or a national championship as so much of that has to do with seeding and match ups (Kentucky got gifted an easy path last year for instance).
Given all of that I will consider a success if SMU gets a 3 or higher seed in the tournament and makes the elite 8. I think we have the depth and mix of experience and talent to get that done.
