not specifically talking about Mudiay's transcript but just that the NCAA doesn't recognize 7 of these courses as Core Curiculum as represented-same as last year. Applies to all kids taking these courses. Of course many courses are not core but presumably they are in subjects such as English, Math, History, Science etc that usually are. Hansen Unplugged in 15 Minutes. I think he's going after Prime Prep.

actually went after professional leagues and their signing rules. More convinced than ever-just let them go. If they don't want to be in College then they don't belong there. College athletics will survive. Some may point to baseball as evidence that it will be minor league but Baseball has never been a major college sport with strong alumni support

how did he bash the NCAA-he said a kid should be able to earn a living without leaving the country and then detailed the rules of the major professional leagues

The sad part of all the mess that surrounds Prime Prep is that the kids are the ones that are being wronged. The whole thing is a joke.

i agree - why hang them up if they want to go pro and nba takes them. 1 and done doesnt help much. If they go pro - Make them take Mandatory Dave Ramsey type courses and grow up fast... Someone mentioned baseball rules which is good.

How many scandals/problems could be avoided if the NBA and NFL had legitimate minor leagues available to pro prospects that aren't interested in college immediately after HS?

This is just another example of problems with the NCAA, professional sports and freedom to earn a living using your talents. If true that it is about his family needing money or for any other reason then he should be able to take out a loan based on his future NBA earnings. Use part of the loan to purchase a disability policy, the rest to pay for needs now. If it doesn't pan out then the institution loaning the money is out. Otherwise left to seedy agents...see Dez Bryant and all that jewelry and loans before he was drafted and technically still on scholarship. No special treatment, let the market and the freedoms we have in this country apply to athletes too.

I think the NCAA made the loan option available several years ago-didn't it.
