If we are playing against a big lineup:
1. Nic
2. Sterling or Emelogu (if granted waiver)
3. Martin
4. Markus
5. Yanick

If we are playing a smaller team:
1. Nic
2. Sterling or Emelogu (if granted waiver)
3. Martin
4. Ben
5. Markus

Nic and Markus may be the only "givens" as starters. I suspect Sterling will hold onto his spot and agree that Emelogu may start at the 2 if granted his waiver, but Coach Brown is going to have another challenge this year getting everyone minutes

What is the status or feeling regarding Tolbert's waiver?

I am thinking lineup #2 regardless. Markus and Yanick played very little together last year, and I can't imagine LB playing them together - too much risk for foul trouble.

Call me crazy…I think Cannen starts. Senior three year letterman.

Nic
Sterling or Goo
Martin
Markus
Cannen

I think 1 with Sterling regardless of the Emelogu waiver status.

Either way it is going to be nice to have a lot of variety and experience in our depth this season.

My feeling as well. I think Cannen gets the nod over Yanick due to the fact that he can hit a 10 foot jumper with consistency and is a good passer for a big.

I might have lost my mind after the frustration of Sunday, but ...

STERLING BROWN WILL BE STARTING.

By many accounts he's gotten BETTER over the off-season, and will be our teams lock-down defender, guarding every #1 player thrown at us.

After losing Nick, we need him to be our lock-down perimeter defender.

My hope is that he has continued to improve his 3 point shooting (36% for season, 37% in conference on 1.3 3's/pg), so that we can spread the floor for dribble drive action/post-ups.
