I am sure most everyone expects a very good team.

What should be expected?
What would be a letdown versus expectations?
What would be a outstanding season?

Expected: Road wins, more consistent offense.

Letdown: less than conference finals, not making it out of the first weekend of NCAAs

Outstanding: reg season and conference champs, elite 8 or better.

twenty-five wins, two first team all-AAC, Keith Frazier treys
disappoint if we don't win every game at Moody, Ulrich leaves
dream of Final Four, AAC champion, Duke scheds us for home and home

expectation is that we will be very competitive, probably top 25 and will finally return to NCAA tourney. Just need to stay healthy and keep Nic out of foul trouble

Yeah, those are my expectations. Stay somewhere around 25-50 in the rankings and make the tourney. Everything else is icing.

No offense but your expectations of everything smu are just sub par. We should expect to be ranked. We have and should expect to be top 15.

Without Mudiay and only having Martin as a new player coming in at this point since the young man from VT is not eligible yet I do not know what to really expect but I am putting that as a goal not an expectation.

Maroons, we are talking semantics a little here. As a fan, I expect (meaning "guess" or "think it most likely") we'll hang out in the Top 25 most if not all of the season. But I don't *expect* it meaning I won't be happy should we end up in the 50 range and still make the dance.

Now if I were playing on the team, I'd expect to win every game in both senses of the term. If you don't expect to win every meeting, why bother lacing 'em up?

I know that everyone who posts on the BB page knows more about hoops than I. I think that SMU will have another good team. But I have to think that the presence of Yanick is a key, whether he starts or just gets a lot of time in the rotation. I went back and looked at the the Yanick specific threads and there has been nothing new for a couple of days.

Maybe I missed something. Is Yanick back? Surely coming back? What?

Expectations: compete right to the end of the season for a conference title, ranked 15-30 most of the year, make and win at least 1 NCAA tournament game.

Exceeding expectations: conference season and tournament champions', sweet 16 appearance.

Dream: 3 seed or better for NCAA tournament, enlighten 8 or better appearance.

my expectation is that we bet lamar.
