AAC BBall recruiting...Yikes

If you believe the AAC is still a major conference, try this factoid on for size.

The ACC landed 22 of the top 100 incoming freshmen as rated by 247Sports.com. The SEC got 17, 15 are going to the Pac-12, 14 are headed to the Big East, 11 to the Big Ten and seven to the Big 12. Even the Mountain West has six of the top 100 freshmen in the country.

However, with Emmanuel Mudiay spurning SMU to play in China, the AAC scored exactly one Top 100 freshman: Connecticut's Daniel Hamilton.

And so far, every top prospect LB seems to talk to lately, ends up going somewhere else.

This is pretty concerning. Also, What is going on with our 2015 class? Bacon, Hogg and Davis which were huge targets for us are now Aggies and Noles

You guys act like Emelogu isn't a HUGE score or Barefield. Could we use one more by now, yes. Is it some big deal we swung and missed on locals, not so much.

We were basically never in the Davis, Hogg, Bacon sweepstakes

I'm not sure what it says about you that I agree, but I agree. I'm not as familiar with Emelogu, but transfers are ok. You should be at an 8/9 rotation which gives you 4-5 farm players.

Love the mentality of SMU fans that any recruit is an option, but Davis and Hogg were NEVER bound for SMU. Davis was forever a KU lean, but they slow played him (having others higher on the wish list) and then it became apparent that he fell on the list (esp with Maker looking more like 15, potentially). Hogg was always chilly towards SMU. Baylor was the safe bet forever, but then when Davis went to A&M...

Hey - We have a great group of players & great ones arriving! I'm excited!

It's to LB's credit that he's going after all these recruits while our 'other coach' never did. That's the truth of the matter.

I'm very concerned kids are going to take any power 5 offer in order to get the full cost of attendance and whatever other $$ perks may come, even if another school would be a better fit
