I would imagine we will be ranked a little higher than that in the preseason. Probably 22.

The loss of EMan dropped us a little lower than expected. If we beat Gonzaga that should elevate us significantly. A loss would confirm the lower end top 25 ranking.

Also, I think we were #17 in Athlon, #25 in Sporting News, yes?

Yes. My guess is we'll be somewhere in the middle, 20-22, of the first AP poll. Our second game is at top 10 Gonzaga. If we win that one, we'll see a big jump.

Well well, Ron Wellman. Take that strength of schedule and shove it up your fat [deleted].

Pumped to start 14-15 college basketball prep at @LarryBrownSMU practice today. Absolutely a Top 15 team if everyone stays healthy.

don't really care much about pre-season rankings; just want these guys to stay healthy and gel towards season's end. Get hot come tourney time and get invited to the dance this year...and hopefully then make some noise

We need as high a ranking a possible so that if we lose a game we will not fall as far. Example if we was ranked 50th and lost a game it would drop us worse than if we were rated 10th in the country and lost a game. Everything matters to these selection committee. As we saw last year the committee looks at the whole body of work not just at who is hot at the end of the year. And be better keep a good RPI ranking the entire year as opposed to getting hot the last part of the year.
