McDuffie is a 6'7 (maybe 6'8) 185 pound SF not a PF. All the 6'9 and above guys are off the board except Elijah. But I do think we need to add McDuffie to the class as a swing man.

What now? If this is MK's last year then we are left with B Moore, J Tolbert, and no one else? Hope the transfer.market is deep.

Any 3 star bigs to move down to?

Scout has him as a PF. I've never seen him play so I have no idea what his game is like or what is his true position.

Just checked Rivals, no one else besides Thomas with interest in SMU as far as bigs. Hopefully transfer and JUCO markets are deep.

These are all extreme reaches but there is not much left uncommitted on the board. Hopefully some late bloomers hit our list.

Eli Thomas, the 6-foot-9 big man from Lancaster (TX), enjoyed his weekend visit to SMU and next trips to Texas A&M Oct. 10.

“It was legit, I enjoyed it,” he told SNY.tv. “I love the staff, and their team is going to be scary good.”

He added: “[Coach] Larry Brown is Larry. He’s a legend and a teacher of the game.”

Of the schools on his list, SMU is the closest to home.

“It’s cool but I wouldn’t say it’s a factor,” he said. “But SMU being in my city is cool.”

Thomas has already visited LSU, Oklahoma State and Illinois. Oklahoma State recently landed a pledge from Thomas’ AAU teammate Jawun Evans, which could impact the big man’s decision.

“His decision is going to be hard for me not to think about joining him,” Thomas said.

Last up is Texas A&M, with that visit falling on his birthday.

Thomas could decide anytime after that visit.

“I have no official timetable,” he said.

Not real optimistic either. SMU has really dropped the ball on this class.

Yet we are still very far ahead of schedule. We have only had one successful year on the court. When Moody starts rocking again, things will work themselves out. Lets not hang our heads too low. We are still fighting perception, we need another great year. We are still trending up. Remember where we were just 2 years ago.

that court looks so depressing comparatively.
