Shake can obviously score but what is most impressive about his game is his ability to pass. One helluva get by our staff.

Score and drop dimes, Shake!

It looks like we are set out front for awhile…and the "experts" all count guard play as an important ingredient in a deep run in the tourney. Great news.

We're still a bit slim at point this season unless the Ryan/Sterling/Ben options prove successful. In 16 Ben is a senior, Barefield gets a year to mature and Milton is a third option at point. Sweet

The two looks pretty damn solid. This year there's Sterling, maybe Emelogou, definitely Keith. In 16 none of them leave (unless one transfers out) and we add Shake to the mix.

The three? This year I guess it's a JMART, Sterling rotation. Next year?

We're set for bigs this year but I'd say that would have to be a priority for next year. Tolbert is a great patch but with 2 and possibly three of this years guys gone we'll need some help.

I'm not convinced ET is the answer but given our needs and our valuable scholarships I won't mind if we get him.

Ben will just be playing a little point this year just to help out until Barefield and Milton get here. In 16 Ben will go back to full time post where his experience will be very much needed. Barefield will be starting after Nic graduates and Shake will be the second option.

Also Thomas would be starting in the post in 16 with Ben Moore imo if we get Thomas.

How do you figure Barefield ahead of Shake?

Barefield is more of a complete true point than Shake. Shake is a very good combo. I could see Shake at the 2 and Barefield at the 1. As Hoopmanx said that Barefield is the air apperent to Nic.

Have you seen Shake play? I don't mean highlights but play an actual game?

From another thread per ESPN talking about how Shake will fit in with other recruits.......

The Mustangs already have a pledge from guard Sedrick Barefield, who is an excellent passer and can play both on and off the ball, as well as forward Jarrey Foster.

And LB will make them all better. We are set out front for a good long while.

We'll get bigs. I'm not worried.

You should be worried. That is unless next year comes and we don't have them. But I know, that is not a possibility.

Word is Shake will be mostly at PG and that the coaches are all over Vick at SG...Shake is a total package...SMU will be a multi headed beast running the floor with many options. It will be fun to watch.

Love that some of those clips are against the aTm guys. Crossed over Thomas on one and pulled out Davis on a few easy dimes.

Maybe LB actually knows what he's doing. I like his size, too (not rail thin). Get Vick and another solid big with athleticism and competitive fire and I'm happy.
