not exactly news, other than its somewhat official. Markus has been a beast to keep eligible since day 1. Wasn't eligible all summer either

Is the issue the capability to do schoolwork or the desire?

Probably both. If you were willing to but in 4+ hours a day trying to get your work done with the help available, there is no reason to think he couldn't do it. In all his interviews I have never thought he had a cognitive deficiency.

If Hoopmanx is correct and he came here with a 8th grade reading level then he could be trying very hard but not able to pass the tests etc. Easy for some to say that there is no reason to think he could not do the work when they had a higher reading comprehension level coming out of high school. Apparently well enough to go through law school.

Why would he be a history major? It is NOT an easy degree at SMU and it requires tons of reading and writing papers which are challenging even for students who did not play any sports. Change majors to sports management, please!
