With 2 more scholarships left to go can SMU land a top 25 class like we did 2 years ago? I think the possibility is there.

If we land McDuffie and one of Vick/Mitchell I think we get there. McDuffie would be a big get but I think it is a longshot.

If I had to guess we'll sign one more freshman and then go the JC/transfer route

I voted no simply because I have no idea who we can get that would put us up there. We seem to have struck out with the 'locals' and that is disappointing. I am sure we can get some other players but not sure how they would move us to top 25.

Probably should not bring this up at all, but could we be under the shadow cast by ED? Or the allegation that SMU does not reach out to South Dallas Country.

It's a top 25 class, no doubt. Could end up w/as many as 4 top 100 types, at worst 3.

There's a 0% chance of that, two completely different programs and recruits know it

Right and ED even said that if football did not work to turn it into a basketball school. No negatives about hoops.

Here are the latest rankings. I think we can over take San Diego St and Stanford. Texas A&M moved up to #2 in the nation.

I do, too.

Just for fun, here's what I see:

Sed: Rivals rank #126 (notable offers Baylor, UConn, Memphis, Arizona, Cal, Kansas St)

Shake: Rivals rank #67, ESPN rank #71 (notable offers Baylor, Creighton, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, OK, OKie St, aTm)

Foster: NR due to injury

Would be good to pick up another top 100 type for sure.

I believe Foster will jump into the top 150 after this season. He's a very talented kid.
