Looks like we have some shooters this year

Nic, Martin, Emelogu, and KF all can nail it from the outside. If Nic can stay out of foul trouble and MK gets eligible I believe we can make a run at the natty.

I will agree if MK gets cleared.

we will be much improved at the 1-2-3 spots this year. Question remains what we get from our bigs

Cannen can nail some hoops from behind the arc as well.

And if they do it will open up the middle. This might be our biggest area of improvement this year. If it is then we're gonna be tough to beat.

Ok, now I'm getting worried we're overrating this team a bit. SBNation with a #10 yesterday? People talking about possible national championships? Anything can happen, but I really don't think we're THAT good yet as we still have questions with MK, a second point guard, chemistry with the new guys. I suggest tapping the brakes a bit. Overexpectations are just as bad as underexpectations.

When do you expect us to have over expectations? Kind of hard to do it later. Now is the time for all high hopes. Oops there goes another rubber tree plant.

I don't know. Seems to me that you get the most enjoyment out of reasonable expectations. Neither too high nor too low. Are you and your buddy coming down for the game today?

I said IF Nic can stay out of foul trouble and MK gets eligible I believe we can make a run at the natty. LB has stated publicly that the team goal every year is to win the national championship. There is a difference between expectations and goals. I never said that we WOULD win the natty but that they have a chance to achieve that goal. I think you are misinterpreting what I am saying. I have no expectations as far as the team goes other than playing hard every game whether they win oe lose. So if you want my expectations that is it. I don't think anyone should tap the brakes on expecting them to play hard every game win or lose. But now as far as team goals I believe there is possibility to make a run at the natty. Whether we win it all or not I believe we can make a run at it if a few more things fall in place.

Yes expectations way too high. I think we will be slightly worse than last year (no senior leadership like nick Russell and Shawn was really underrated) and we won't sneak up on anybody. Last year was a dream run - I'm very excited no doubt but we need to take one more leap forward this year - that's what I'm looking for -- guys playing with a chip about being snubbed last year and not even considered one of the top 2 teams in our own state.

I'm not sure if you're doing a bit or being serious but how in the world can anyone think we will be worse than last year?? Nick and Shawn were great for our program but adding Martin and Emelogu is an upgrade. Ben, Sterling and KF are no longer freshmen. Yanick is healthy. Nic and MK are more comfortable in LB's system.
