SMU offers 2015 PF“@AdamGrosbard: Per @ShowTimeNation, #SMU has offered 2015 PF Shawntrez Davis (@Davisout). Mustangs need help in frontcourt for this classâ€
3-star, #111 in the class - has offers from UConn, Georgia, Clemson, Okie St, Miss St, WV and Providence. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
Re: SMU offers 2015 PFgood offer list
Re: SMU offers 2015 PFAn offer this late is a pretty good indicator that a kid is very serious about your school. You don't spray offers this late unless you're pretty sure you have a good shot at him fwiw.
Re: SMU offers 2015 PFI hope so. Seems to fit that style of player we have been recruiting lately.
Re: SMU offers 2015 PFAlso, Evan Daniels at Scout mentioned we might be in the mix for F/C Ted Kapita - 6'9" 220. He's ranked 34th in the class. Kapita has offers from Florida, UT, Memphis and WV (home state).

Re: SMU offers 2015 PF
That would be huge. I wonder how much in the mix we are for these two.

ESPN Analyst Updated 10/09/2014 Strengths: Davis is a very long and athletic forward that is very mobile. He is a quick leaper and well. He second jump may be quicker than his first. He is a rebounding machine on both ends of the floor in and out of his area. Davis rebounds with a combination of length and worry strength. He runs the floor with ease and can finish on the break in addition to drop off passes created by dribble penetration. Davis is a also an excellent shot blocker with good timing and ability to come the court. Weaknesses: Davis must work to develop his skills. He needs a post move and counter move from both low blocks and then extend his game to the perimeter shooting and ball handling wise. He will also have to add strength and be a consistent performer. Bottom Line: Davis is a terrific rebounder, shot blocker and finisher but work to develop his scoring package. He needs to develop his scoring inside and out in addition to his ball skills to take his game to an elite level in which he is very capable. Davis is already a very good player but has not scratched the surface on how good he good could be. "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: SMU offers 2015 PFHe's from an hour outside of Atlanta...may have to go see him.
BTW, I have NEVER heard of his school. "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: SMU offers 2015 PFI believe TigerVag was very confident that Kapita was Memphis bound...would love to steal him this late in the game
Re: SMU offers 2015 PF
How are we getting in the game so late? Esp with out of state players?
Re: SMU offers 2015 PFI'd take either one of them, but Ted Kapita looks like a stud. I like our chances on some of these - the Duke, Kansas, etc classes are filling up and we may be able to cherry pick 1 or 2 top 150 types by showing they will get early playing time here. Just need one more solid guy to team up with B Moore and Tolbert. Two would be ideal (in that 6'9", 220-230 range would be great).
