A healthy Yanick is an absolute force, and Ben Moore......a star in the making, Cannen is as solid as they come. When we get MK back, the best frontcourt in the country?
This squad is so deep. Nic is the leader, Justin is about as good of addition as you could ever want. Emegolu is talented and confident. Sterling is Sterling. KF is getting there.
Bring on the Zags!

I had hoped to see an improved KF. Tonight was lackluster for him.

Typical SMU reaction, focus on the ONLY negative. Good job.

KF got better as the game progressed. You could see his confidence building. He is going to be fine.

He also defended much better.

Ben Moore makes me so excited it makes me nervous.
How about that. I think he is going to end up being one of the all time SMU greats-defense, offense, passing, assists, rebounds, shot selection-his body control is amazing. Just scratching the surface

Lots to like tonight. You could see the weight coming off KF's shoulders when he hit that 3. He's going to be good for us when it all clicks between the ears....it will be soon.
Ben is a beast, and so is Yanick. Lots of fun tonight, should be a great season.

We have a good team. Still developing chemistry with the new players. Martin is a smooth player and did not miss a shot. This was a good tune up game for the team.

I want to see Emelogu against better competition but he was creating a lot of defensive havoc on the perimeter tonite.

We are vastly improved offensively. Ben is a great passer at the top of the key. The entire team is a good passing team. A lot more players can create their own shot, including both of the transfers. Ym is a beast.
The ONLY concerns I have are that Manuel looked really shaky out there, I want to see how we play when we go small (I think we are holding that for Gonzaga because there is no way we can just play the three bigs in that game), and we don't have the dirty work guys like MK, Russell and Shawn. Rebounding was poor tonight because of it. YM defends the rim well and really is a force ont eh offensive end, but doesn't really rebound that well.

Cannen helps us with rebounding - when he is out we really didn't get the rebounds we need.
we will need MK as soon as we can get him.

Yanick doesn't rebound well? Are you being serious?

Absolutely he will be fine. He's a kid that needs a little time to simmer down and then he settles into his game. I want to see him commit more; there were a few times he thought about a shot or a pass and hesitated and that threw him off, but he'll keep working through that and when it clicks, watch out!

Frazier still obviously struggles with confidence, but man there is so much talent there.
Ben Moore is just flat out amazing, and with Yanick we are fine in the front.
Of course we would be better with MK but it's not going to happen.
