It is great to see the buzz is still alive and well. Many stuck around for most of the game. It was great to meet Zman and Mrs. Zman. Great night.

ATTENTION ALL: Stop standing around chatting in the middle of the concourse!

ATTENTION SMU: Major beer expansion, hot nuts, good concession options, very nice, thanks.

They didn't do the Seven Nation Army, though.

Last night was just further confirmation for me that when SMU does something right it really is amazing what can be accomplished.

This is going to be a fun year.

Really? Who can we reach out to about making sure this is brought back?

Yes, and the students were begging for it.

Moody looked great on TV as usual. We'll need that for games like Arky and the top AAC teams for sure.

I'm loving the big lineup with both Cannen and YM. Of course, when you play against a team whose tallest player is 6'4", they BETTER have monster games. This Zags game will really show where we are. Then, of course, Indiana. (I expect Nic and JMart to have big games at Indy).

What was the noise like? Crowd looked good but it seemed pretty sedate on ESPN3. Was it loud or just a opening night soirée?

It was more subdued than normal. I think perhaps the competition caused that. It was never close. A lot of people started leaving with 9 minutes to go.

Arkpony summed it up. One thing is certain, Moody is the SMU fan's happy place. There is a buzz. The students were great. They were on Mattingly most of the 1st half. As someone mentioned earlier, if they would've played SNA the students would've went nuts.

I don't recall the band playing Beans, either.

Thank goodness. Nothing kills an arena like that.

Well at least the student section was full after all the talk of the reunion parties keeping them away. Glad to see the support is still there. Red seats looked full too from what I could see.
