Rumor is thats what he missed the GPA requirement by. However I have absolutely no idea if that is true. That was pretty much what the entire student section was talking about tonight though.

If true it probably means that he didn't have the 1.9 GPA (I think that's right) that he needs starting his third year under the Satisfactory Progress Toward Degree requrements

Entering Second Year of Enrollment:
• 24 credits
• 18 credits earned during academic year
• 6 hours per term
• > 1.8 GPA
Entering Third Year of Enrollment:
• 40% of degree (48 hours)
• 18 credits earned during academic year
• 6 credits per term
• > 1.9 GPA
• Must declare a degree program
Entering Fourth Year of Enrollment:
• 60% of degree (72 hours)
• 18 credits earned during academic year
• 6 credits per term
• > 2.0 GPA
Entering Fifth Year of Enrollment:
• 80% of degree (96 hours)
• 18 credits earned during academic year
• 6 credits per term
• > 2.0 GPA
Transfers:

But this is his 4th year of school so it is probably a 2.0 that he needs.

yeah I'm not exactly sure how these standards relate to transfers-probably would be 2.0

Hopefully sitting on the bench will help, further motivate him to hit the books even harder. Plenty of time this weekend and next week since he won't be traveling with the team.

Has to be GPA.

It was great to see him on the bench and being into the game. Hope he gets back sooner than later.

Ira Terrell talked to the team at halftime and talked about committing to the team by doing what you need to do, including taking your classes. Its ALL on Markus for no effort.

Terrell also talked about it when he was on the Ticket during halftime of the Lamar game. Disappointed and update were two words he used quite frequently.
