Look, we can accept that you suck at football, we all do in the AAC but if you're going to pull us down in hoops too, why did we let you in the conference? Great start tonight - Oral Roberts 77, Tulsa 68. Seriously, why did we let Tulsa and Tulane join??

Really stupid move letting them in. Really no reason. Tulane also. Smaller and stronger would be better.

I don't get either. The conference isn't going to last if we're being honest. At the end of the day, the top tier is going to move on elsewhere. Cinci, UConn, ect...Not sure I'd worry too much. If we're going to analyze Tulsa, they would be fine if they had retained Danny Manning.

They shot 34%. 10% on threes.

You can't win many games like that.

I agree. They should be much better than this. That is not OK. They made the tourny last year right? And they returned good players?

I would have kept the conference at 8 teams plus Navy, but Tulsa will be ok. Oral Roberts usually fields good teams.

It's not like they lost to Christian Brothers

BTW, SMU had the largest margin of victory in the first games for AAC schools, and we were not the only team playing low RPI schools to start the season.

Have to give Tulsa a little credit for beating Auburn easily last night in Vegas, 53-35.

It's actually a pretty good win imo. Auburn is much improved and should be a decent team by year's end. The stadium is sold out so they should have a good home court advantage all year and never underestimate Bruce Pearl. He might put the program on probation in 3 years, but he will cheat, lie, recruit whoever and whatever it takes to win. The guy will win.

So you're saying they are on the same course as Houston? 8) IMO, Pearl and Sampson are the same guy - they can coach but they leave programs in shambles.

They're brothers. They will both win before their time is done...
