Both former SWC champion players attended our 20th reunion on Saturday. James was able to attend the game on Friday night and was amazed at the new Moody. Chris hadn't been able to get tickets to a game yet. It just so happens that my family will be out of town next weekend (to visit my inlaws) so I offered my tickets to him; he needs to see the way Moody should have always been but never was when he was on the team (or since until last year). So make sure you all put on a good show!

Moody wasn't so bad while they were there. We won the SWC in 93. The students filled up all of the bleachers behind both benches. We gave the visitors hell and got that place loud!

You're right Diamond Tom, it wasn't "so bad." But it wasn't "so good" either. I was at every home game from 1990 to 1994 and it was never what it could be (except when it was filled up with visiting fans from Arkansas or other SWC schools). You could hear individual voices in the crowd yelling back then (namely mine). Now it is one loud place all cheering for SMU like other great college basketball venues.

I was right there with you from 90 - 94. And have carried season tickets since graduation. There is no doubt that Moody is finally reaching the potential we always knew it had.

I remember walking out of Cameron with legs like jello, ears ringing, completely hoarse, just completely spent from jumping and yelling at games. As much as I loved my undergrad days at SMU, I don't remember ever feeling like that after a game (though I did lose my voice on occasion) back then.
Moody today makes me wish I could be down in the student section acting crazy again, but no one wants to see a 42 year old lady doing that -- especially my children. I hope these kids appreciate the atmosphere they have created; having witnessed the opposite along with the few loyal fans like Tom, I sure do.

Ah, Chris Jessen was "my day". I've seen the old Moody rocking (Utah and Arky come to mind)! Can't wait to see the new one.

Not sure that the atmosphere against Eastern Washington will not be the same as the notable '93 games against Texas, Rice, Arkansas, etc. The TX and Rice games were more along the lines of last year's Cal game...
I recall Gatewood playing a lot - especially in his Sr. year - but I don't recall Jessen getting a lot of PT.
