Music at the Game

I'm actually at the game now and there is a complete lull in the energy. There's only been 2-3 songs played the entire second half and none of them have generated a rise from the student section. It's a blank crowd tonight. The energy can be generated from production. What's up tonight?

I agree wholeheartedly. It's like they didn't even care if the crowd was into it tonight.

Way too much band, and odd timing in and out of the timeout breaks.

Strange because last year was first class from day one.

Thank you for bringing this up.

First of all, I was disappointed in the turnout tonight, but then the game presentation was substandard across the board as well.

OK, maybe some people might have been out of town or something (not an excuse when basketball is all we have to hang our hat on right now, of course), but every single break was just dull as hell.

Last season was so much fun in Moody, but tonight was just a dud - and it starts with the break music selection.

People weren't even dancing during the dance cam!

It looked good on camera. Of course you cannot see the upper area. But the buzz needs to come back for Arkansas and I hate that it is during a holiday break.

They did have a backup PA tonight, right?

That should not have affected the choice of music though unless I am missing something.

Maybe they thought playing 7NA in the first half gave them the rest of the night off.

We need to do something awesome. Basketball is the sport we have right now and we have to capitalize on how popular it is.
Gameday Cloth would sponsor a DJ at a game. DJ Joe Ramirez is an SMU alum and a great DJ. We've hired him for events before and he does the Byron Nelson each year. That could be a great something new for a game!

It's hard to argue with an SMU alum and season ticket holder owned company sponsoring an SMU alum DJ at at game!

These games were in Garland last year...there is not much interest in warm up games and its Thanksgiving break as people are gone. We will be fine in January when conference action heats up. The game day presentation was sub par i must agree.

Gonzaga fans seemed pretty interested the other night although they were playing a team ranked in the top 25.
