silver linings?

Something's not clicking with this team. Maybe it's integrating Emelogu, Martin. Maybe Markus is just that important. Maybe something else. Here's hoping we can get back our mojo and real quick.

But I saw two things tonight I've really been waiting for:

1. Nic Moore is almost totally back. Don't know where he's been, but he looked lost, even a bit scared in the last two games. Not tonight. I saw that "me against the world" look in his eye again. Glad to have you back, Nic.

2. Is Keith starting to get it? He looks a tic or two away from being a really nice player, the guy we thought we signed originally. I see the hesitation going away and the fog clearing. It does seem like LB tore Frazier down and is building him back into a nice player.

Ben Moore is always the top silver lining.

I agree Nic looked better tonight than he did against Gonzaga and Indiana, but to be fair we were playing EWU.

Hopefully, he will look good Tuesday because we are going to need him!

Yeah, Ben's definitely been a silver lining this year.

Frazier looked good tonight. Best game he has had as an SMU Mustang. 7 of 8 from the field.

KF only missed one shot from the field tonight (7/8 including 3/4 on three point shots). He was exactly what we expected tonight.

Has he turned the corner? Who knows. But tonight he was solid and was never a liability on the court. I'll take that every night.

Another silver lining is SMU 15-16 on free pitches.

One of our major weaknesses last season seems to be better this year so far.

Also, we did a fantastic job of staying out of foul trouble tonight!

Best KF has looked at SMU. Normally he looks very skittish, but he played like he had the green light all night. I want that Keith every night.

Do you realize this former 3-0 EWU team beat Texas Southern by 5 more than IU did?

We beat a very solid team tonight. There were a great number of silver linings as listed
in the forgoing posts.

We will get an even better feel for EWU when they play Indiana in a couple of days.

Did you notice Sterling Brown playing center on defense tonight. He grabbed eleven
rebounds and played great defense.

Not a silver lining - why did Cunningham play only 4 minutes - was he injured?

Larry indicated in his press conference that Cannen had a lack of energy/being lazy out on the court against EWU.

Ben E needs more minutes and i think he will find his grove soon. Might take a month or so but saw glimpses of what he can do.

There's two more. Thanks Falcon and GiddyUp. Sterling Brown's been mostly missing until last night. After a first half in which we couldn't get a defensive board to save our lives, his multiple second half defensive rebounds were so key. And it's nice to finally meet Mr. Emelogu.

i thought Sterling was decent against IU.
