I assume it is a reaction to some sort of security threat, which is fine I guess.

They didn't do it for Lamar but have done it for the other two games.

Or, maybe the security firm SMU contracts wasn't really ready for the first game.

Who knows.

The whole entry thing is just bizarre. You could probably walk in without a ticket as haphazard as it is once you actually get inside Moody.

I've got no problem with entry search. I'm all for safety at the expense of a little of my time. The same way I am at airports. The problem I had was how casual the guy in my line was going. He was taking his time and really didn't care.

I'm sorry but there's no reason we should have that kind of security. This is one of the most blue blood, yuppie, non-threatening fan bases in college sports. I've never seen anything remotely threatening at any SMU event that would dictate this kind of screening process.

I get it if W. was there, but he hasn't been all season. The security line is a joke. Look up the article about the TSA on Politico a few months back.

I didn't understand the whole put your hands in front of you thing tonight. That was new. When I asked the guy about it, he said we've been wanting people all year. My response was, why do I did put my hands in a ball underneath my face?

Or you could just show up 5 minutes early.

I agree with that except for a weekday 6:30 start. In a city with traffic as bad as Dallas, it's very difficult for most to get there early at that time.

Good point. Like the 2pm volleyball game tomorrow, but I have this thing called work.
