Indiana, Eastern Washington, and Arky have all gotten off to good starts. How does this Cowboy team compare? I see they are undefeated, but wonder about their true strengths and challenges for Larry's boys.

They defend. Larry Nance Jr is like his father - long and can jump out of the gym. I'm pretty sure he'll play in the NBA. They've only played one P5 school, Colorado, but they held them to 33 points. Also, as we saw last season, they have 3-point snipers. My biggest concern is us collapsing on Nance and leaving guys open behind the arc. They received votes for the top 25 this week.

They are solid. A quality win, but could also easily lose it. Our guards have to stay on the perimeter and not collapse so much inside. "Let" Nance get his, but don't give up 3s IMHO.

Absolute MUST win.

Come on, ojai. Can we stop with the must win stuff? Every remaining OOC game we have is very important. Any loss, except Michigan, will seriously hurt our at large chances but they are not must wins. Our truly first must win game is the opening game of the AAC tournament.

We aren't very good right now, have horrible balance and limited skills we can count on. We could lose to Wyoming or Irvine or both.

I'm excited for this season, every game, but I'm not sure I've ever been so wrong about how many flaws a roster has before. It's not even about who's missing or who didn't come, it's a matter of having way too many of the same types of players who don't offer you different looks. Sterling Brown isn't working, bring in Manuel or whomever? How does that change your effectiveness, add something you were missing, address a deficiency etc

It looks bad but it so early. I think the guys are still finding their way, LB too. Emelogu has played much better the last couple of games, and Nic was Nic against Monmouth. I have no idea what is going on with Sterling. As for having too many of the same type of players, I agree but I still think there is time to figure it out. We have a lot of talent on this team. LB will figure out how to make it all come together, I hope. Let's get MK and Martin back in a couple of weeks, avoid a bad loss, and get ready for AAC play. Oh yeah, and push the ball once in awhile.

They have two 3 pt sharp shooters and Nance, doesnt bode real well

MK had 15/7 and we could throw he, Yanick, and Shawn at him and MK made him work on defense and he still ended up with 16/13. I'm not too concerned with him single handedly beating us, but I'm concerned with us over playing him and they heat up from 3.

I don't know if we should throw he at him.

Just how good are any of these teams that have pretty much all played us close?

All of the people who don't show up until almost halftime will be in for an entertaining second half I'm afraid...

This will be a very tough game. They beat CU handily.
