UCSB presents so many chant opportunities. The standard "U Can't Study Buzzed (or Baked)" is good, but there are plenty of ways to use those intials. Slight tweak to "U Can't Shoot Buzzed" -- for freethrows. Do some research. Be creative.
Also, in the Sports Illustrated article a couple of weeks ago about "Big Al" Williams meantioned his "God given butt," so a "Baby Got Back" chant or something more creative would be fun. "One Man Team" also seems like it could come in handy.

Used to leave near there and you'd be shocked at how unsafe that campus and vicinity is. Beautiful area and it's a damn shame. Many shootings and deaths around that area recently.

Are you suggesting the students bring that up?? Also, wasn't it just that one tragic shooting when the introverted son of a Hollywood director shot several people? I worked with quite a few UCSB alums in LA and they never mentioned SB being anything but heaven. They were kind of obnoxious about how great the town and school are.

yeah - lets definitely skip the crime report. Nothing but trouble there.
Our sound guy should play baby's got back right before big Al shoots a free throw.

Someone drove into a crowd also. And lots of other shootings and some rioting (partying getting out of hand on the fraternity row). It's a shame, there's a great beach right there we used to go to all the time now no one goes to it.
I'm not saying the students should bring it up. But it's definitely a huge party school and that's about it.

Huge party school and that's it?
Tell that to our six Nobel prize winners on staff...
http://www.ucsb.edu/nobel/. ...Or to U.S. news and world report who has us ranked as the 28th best university in the world:
http://www.usnews.com/education/best-gl ... ngs?page=3When I went there, it was a party school for sure, but the current chancellor has done an excellent job improving the chem, bio, physics programs and now it is world reknown for it's science programs.

ummmm.... we must have been at different games.
The Mob was horrifically bad, especially in the 2nd half. Standing around, reacting and not instigating. The UCSB fans were outcheering them for a chunk of the game.

Student sections at the ends were virtually empty at the tip again. Don't understand it.

Gotta say though, the majority of the blue seats were on their feet at the end of the game--even saw a few using canes to prop themselves up for that long. They were much better than my neighbors in 210.
That Ryan Manuel dunk Electrified the crowd and it was necessary to change the tempo. (Speaking of tempo, I met Chad Morris--what a stud that guy is. Great personality and he knows how to shake some hands.)
