Posted: Fri Jan 10, 2003 2:30 amThe Lady Mustangs beat Hawaii tonight 66-56. Hawaii wasnt ranked in the top-25, but they were getting votes in both polls, and they were #26 in the RPI. Its the Lady Mustangs 3rd win over a team in the top-40 of the RPI (Oklahoma and Wake Forest were the others) and should help put the team in position for a postseason bid.
This was also the first extended minutes for senior Kenni Patton who has been hobbled by a knee injury for most of the year. Patton was 2-2 from the floor for 4 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal, in 12 minutes.
