TCU at #25 is a joke

They are 11-0 playing a cupcake schedule that would make Robo Doh proud. They round out their OOC this week against Grambling and Tennessee St. They only have one win over a school in the RPI top 100 - Ole Miss (71).
They maybe improved but a school with a 2-34 Big XII conference record in two season, 0-18 last season is getting a lot of respect from the voters for some reason. I guess this is a football trickle down.
BTW, they open conference play against West Virginia, @ K-State and Baylor so I expect them to start 0-3.
I hate TCU.

Yeah, that is pretty ridiculous.
Their strength of schedule is No. 282 in the country!

They are about as deserving of that as they were of jumping from #25 to #9 in the College Football rankings by beating Oklahoma by 4 at home.

They are reaping the benefits of being in a P5 conference. Most poll voters do not closely follow the teams they vote for. They look at the record and conference affiliation only. TCU is undefeated and a member of the big 12 so they get votes. I expect them to crash out of the top 25 very soon because they are not good at all.

At what point does jealousy cross the line to butt-hurt?

We beat Indy and Arky we'd be top 15. They will fall out next week and never sniff it again for years to come. The schools a joke.

Wow you guys need to chill. TCU has 1 quality win and will be 13-0 starting Big 12 play. Most if not all TCU fans know that things will change in a hurry and most of us would be thrilled with the NIT this year. We are much much better than the last 2 seasons so whoever says "they are not good at all" is actually wrong this year. We will see what happens in a couple weeks but I can see 18-20 wins thanks to a friendly OOC.

Is the SMU/TCU hoops game back on for next season? I hope so. Weird not to have that game on the schedule this year.

there are some parallels to SMU's team last year. Both teams played the prior year with 4-5 of the best players sitting in street clothes and had to play games tb high school gym. Doubt they match SMU's season last year but its basically a whole new team this year-if you think this is just the same cast of characters playing an easy schedule-that's not correct

They wouldn't play us this year...fact.

Mutually agreed from what I heard. Believe it is back on the schedule starting next year which is a good thing.

I agree TCU is improved, and I said as much in my original post, but for the voters to give them the benefit of the doubt by putting them in the top 25 without any top 50 wins and coming off a winless conference season is very suspect. Just like football, basketball should wait until conference play starts before releasing a top 25.

They bite the pillow in conference (6-12 is my prediction). They are "better", but the only team worse than them is Tech. They do have enough talent to sneak a win or two people didn't expect.

6 conf wins gets us to 19 which for us would be a big step in the right direction. The Big 12 is stacked in hoops this year with a total of 15 OOC losses for the 10 schools combined.
