Is Markus 100% gone after this season?

I would assume so, with his eligibility issues and the fact he'll be 24 next year. It may make more sense for him to go pro and play in either the D-League or overseas if the NBA doesn't work out.
But just imagine Markus, Tolbert, and Ojeleye all on the floor together. Whoa

Nothing is 100%. I would guess 99.956746%

Maybe someone could point out to MK that's national championship run really helps the draft stock...

Plus likely SMU will be paying full cost of attendance/advertising stipends next year that might make it more appealing than otherwise

He won't be able to leave until he's back in the starting line-up and playing like he was last year. He was pretty ineffective against Michigan, he needs to improve his face to the basket moves too. He's still got a mid-range game to work on.

Let's just hope he isn't too annoyed at a SMU and decides to do the grad transfer thing.

FWIW Markus really seems to be enjoying himself at SMU (perhaps a little too much given his academic performance last spring) and likes the coaching staff and all of his teammates...but at the same time I wouldn't fault him for wanting to get paid while he can. I imagine Larry will be able to give him some solid advice either way

How about we worry about this after the season is over?

He risks being ineligible again if he comes back. He is on a thin thread now. If he does good the rest of the year then he should go pro. Does need to listen to SMU fans turn on him and bash him if he does not make the grades. Most SMU fans want him back selfishly so that SMU can have a better chance at making a run in the NCAA tournament but they are masking it behind statements like he could have another year to better his skills. I just hope he has a strong rest of this year.

It is the truth. If he is not eligible most fans will turn on him in a split second.

How would we turn on him? I think you're overreacting a little.
