These are student/faculty/staff tickets that are available because of the holidays.

I am surprised to see the DMN announcing it. I thought these tickets were only available to season ticket holders and Mustang Club members.

Wow then I am confused as well. Still 100 of those left still is not a good sign. Someone better have a Keith Pastner fathead tonight

Why is this not a good sign? I'm really confused. These are tickets held for students and faculty and obvious 100 were not claimed because of the holiday. SMU is just trying to get the word out that they are available for purchase now. My god, some people on here will take anything and make it a "sky is falling" moment.

Woah there, calm down. I was merely thinking it is not a good sign for our student section turn out

I guess I had an unrealistic expectation that they would get back for this one considering it was Memphis. My bad

There's tickets available on the upper sidelines for $20 bucks per for tonight against Memphis. And they want to quadruple ticket prices next year? Cheaper to buy on an individual basis, a lot cheaper...and hardly any have moved on StubHub

Pretty much proving me right that it will be cheaper for me next year to buy tickets for each game versus season tickets.

If you want to look at it as an investment in entertainment, you are correct. If you want to view it as an investment in the team you support that relies on donations to survive and compete then you are missing the point. It's obvious SMU needs more money to get to the levels the fans desire. Are the fans willing to pay? We'll see.

Based on those 100 and +200 on stubhub, the crowd will be under full capacity by a wee bit. Still wanting a strong showing and hoping a few students are back to make a ruckus.

I was willing to give 6 grand a year for all my junk with a 10% increase each year and share with everyone.
When SMU asks for 13 grand for the same junk they get what they have coming - nothing! To late now cuzz I just spent it on Orbitz

And as far as uh oh goes - that is a direct market indicator of supply and demand - the tickets are not selling for anything this year save Arkansas.
If you are one of the 800 and have the extra cash by all means support your school. I have been willing for years..

I will buy on the second market and assist those paying next year. What was it MC said about pigs & hogs?

Highest priced ticked to sell tonight was $165 - average cost on one floor seat next year $333 per seat per game  $666 every game.

SMU needs people to show up to games no matter how they buy a ticket.

Just throwing this out there but when I renewed my season tix I believed Mudiay was going to be on the team and the hype was monumental about this years team (which is why a bunch of people probably bought new tickets for the first time and they sold out so quickly). If we get players like Mudiay then I have no problem paying for the increased ticket prices. Now, if we are still not ranked after this year and miss the dance, without a top 20 MCDAA 1 and done coming in, I will definitely think twice about it.

I really hope this team can put together a nice run and make it to the dance. If not, then the ticket prices (on the secondary market) will drop big time toward the end of the season and a lot of people will dump their season tix before next year. IMO from the moment I renewed my tickets, everything has been a disappointment from there. The buzz has died down considerably. Definitely still enough time to get it back though!
