"Towels for Keith"

I really like this idea. Even if the kid or his handlers cheated their asses off (which we have no idea and may never), this kid has been a model of team first attitude and even if he never plays another second for SMU I will always look back fondly on his attitude and is one of my favorite Ponies ever.
Having said that, what can we do to get white towels out to everyone (and The Mob) to wave at games? I think this would be a great new tradition to start grounded in something meaningful. Also shows our support that everyone, no matter their background, can get an opportunity at SMU to further themselves.
What do we think?

Great idea!!!!!!! It would also be nice if his teamates would follow suit.

My wife and I will be bringing 2 towels! In our mind it is as much of a statement for SMU athletics as it is for Keith.

I agree they definitely should have rally towels as a giveaway like they did for the Tech football opener last year. Pretty sure I still have that towel somewhere

I don't get this mentality at all. We were absolute morons for recruiting him and he's mostly been disappointing since he's been here. I love that he's a very enthusiastic teammate, but he's pretty far from a martyr.

Agreed. Enjoyed his enthusiasm on the bench.
Not a fan of this idea at all. Let's move on.

Like towels..... But SMU people are not towel or pompon people (like the SEC). Anything more than the Peruna clap is just too stressful.

For those who were at the game .. did you see the two young kids walking down behind both benches and in front of the Mob with a home made sign that read Free Keith. They got a nice reaction from the crowd. In fact, toward the end of the game, the crowd (Mob) starting chanting Free Keith.

i don't know if this matters or not - but Keith's chance in an appeal would probably not be helped by more attention. The committee hearing the appeal will not want to look like they were influenced by anything other than the extending circumstances being presented by SMU on his behalf.

I'll be bringing white towels and spinning them like crazy. GFY to anyone who doesn't like it. Maybe it's not for Keith - maybe I just like swinging the mfer!

I like it. Eff the NCAA. Just wave a white towel. Don't write anything about Keith. A lot of symbolism there ... Enough "said" with the gesture alone. Pony up.
