Shooting percentages aren't that different — ECU hitting 33.3%, SMU 27.3% — but Pirates winning battle of the boards, 13-9 and 8-3 on offensive end, resulting in 10 more FG attempts (21-11).

Scary moment when ECU's Janesha Ebron got undercut by a teammate and landed on the back of her head … only to bounce up as if she didn't feel a thing.

Step in the right direction? Still a long way to go, but SMU has outscored ECU, 8-4, to start second half, but trails, 43-26
