So, from all accounts, BenE is a really good kid with solid skills. His woes are most likely all mental, particularly as it relates to his confidence. We will need him to give us "serviceable" minutes to make a good run down the stretch (strong defense, solid ball handling, a better shooting percentage). Let's try to help by giving him a little Moody Magic encouragement. To that end, does anyone know if he has a nickname he likes? We need something like a "KEEEEETH" but for BenE. Needs a standing O when coming in, etc.

Any suggestions? Like the idea?

A few fans in section 201 give him a "Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" but it has not quite caught on.

If I was Larry Brown, and of course I am not, I would play him in the second half when we got a 10+ point lead and just leave him in until he starts scoring. It's in his head, IMO. When you miss a dunk you are snake bit.

My son and I tried to help out with the "Guuuuuuu" thing from 207 during the ECU game. Like you said, it didn't really catch on, but I could hear it from a few other parts of Moody. It would help if he bombed a couple 3s and made them.

If they could get the announcer to introduce his first entry in the game with the elongated "Guuuu," then it may catch a little momentum from there.

"Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" it is. Please try to do it loudly when introduced, checking in, and taking a shot/making it. Spread the word. I will be.

Whenever I had a brick laying streak, I'd find that one spot on the floor that was mine (12-18 feet out) which for me was the top of the key or the right corner. Shoot from there in practice until they started going in. Then make a beeline for that spot when I had the ball and shoot and it would go in, then I'd do it again, then I'd move to other spots on the floor. The key is that he's probably releasing the ball early on his jump shot. If he begins to drill them from his spot, he'll get his stroke back and then hit everything.

Yep, BenE needs Moody Magic tomorrow. I will yell loud from 203!

In addition, we also need a 'Moody Magic' cheer tomorrow.
