Indiana Loss

Even though we would have all liked to get a win against Indiana earlier in the season and should have won that game, the loss is looking less like a stumble with them being ranked and playing really good bball right now. Although the loss doesn't help us get in the tourney, again it shouldn't count against us either considering it was away, early in the season without a key piece of our team.

You can't beat I.U. in the homer dome.

For the time being I don't think we have a bad loss on our resume. All four of our losses are to top 50 RPI teams. I think the thing to be "worried" about now is the lack of any good wins, because those four losses encompass all four of our games against top 50 RPI teams.

On a side note, I was happily surprised to see SMU at #14 in the RPI rankings (and #1 in the AAC) when I was looking this up.

As long as we avoid bad losses and maintain our rpi, we are a lock for the tournament. The evidence will simply show that while we are not able to win a game in the NCAA tournament, we solidly belong in the field.

Agreed, but we do have a chance to get some wins against top 50 RPI teams. Cincy and Tulsa are both currently in the top 50 and RPI Forecast projects them to stay there. If you are worried about our record against top 50 RPI teams then hope Cincy and Tulsa win all their games except against us.

A weekday loss on Thursday or Friday of the first week of the tournament doesn't sound that exciting.
