I know he had issues but with MK foul trouble, this big man quietly did one heck of a job. Rebounds and inside play that didn't make the headlines but helped us win.
He filled a void we needed filled and it paid off in a win.

I am not taking away form Nic. No doubt his game tonight was so much better than last Thursday. I'm just saying when we had some big man issues, Yanick stepped up.

He has really stepped up this year. I remember early on I (stupidly) called for Cannen to start in front of him. Yanick has totally stepped up this, I would challenge anyone to find a (nearly) 7 footer that runs the floor as good as he does.
I cannot count how many times on a fast break that someone missed a tough layup and Yanick was trailing and threw it back down.
We would not be anywhere near where we are without him.
Congrats to Yanick!

I like that the only crowd you can see in that clip is the SMU crowd. If you didn't know you'd assume it was at SMU.

Those putbascks were huge for us - from a momentum aspect especially!

Meanwhile, Cannen has looked like a guy who should be starting these past couple of weeks
