An important note RE: Gameday and student ticket policies

Interestingly enough, the crowd at the event this morning was like the OLD Mob. Rowdy, good sense of humor, really engaged and loud.

They were also early - when shooting started at 9, the section was pretty much full. The students that trickled in after 8:45 were SOL on prime seating.

It's funny, when you allow the students who are actually fans get those seats, the atmosphere raises twelve notches. And they get there early, because they care.

Please, SMU Athletics, next year go back to the old way of getting student tickets. Let the ones who want to go make the commitment to camp out in huge lines. That commitment locks them into going to every game and getting there early.

Nope, I said they were fantastic in one game but have said across time that the system has failed. You on the other hand have consistently filled this board with a pro-Greek agenda refusing to acknowledge that they have culpability in the failure of said system.

Alright man. Like you and I have agreed before, we both want basically the same thing. And you can check my posting history, I'm very pro-Greek, I just don't allow that to keep me from seeing their role in this mess. Regardless, change the system. Don't give Greeks tickets automatically (as you said several times) but we need to make sure they are there as well as any loud non-Greeks. Enjoy the game and beat the crap out of UConn

Whatever happened it was great! I felt for the first time this year Moody Magic and so, I suspect, did thee team!

I think it has more to do with SMU being very SMU. We are now rolling at 21-5 and had a big time opponent on ESPN and hosted college game day. Get UNC, Kentucky, Kansas, etc in here in November on a primetime showcase on CBS or ESPN (not ESPNU or ESPN2 or ESPN News) and our fans will get rowdy. At the beginning of the year we lost a couple games to start the season with a mediocre record.

No. Same distribution as all year.

It has everything to do with the teams we are playing. Last night and Cincy were just as good, if not better, as last year.
