That was a defensive clinic - and lets face it - once they got down there was only one person on that team that could find a way to beat us, but that person was totally dominated by Ryan. Unbelievable defense. Game ball is hereby granted.

Big time.
Boatwright hit the three early threes, but after that was basically invisible.

Manuel played him well but Boatwright still showed he's got next level talent.

Not saying much since he is basically their only weapon.

He only had 7 in the 2nd half when they needed him desperately.

Our entire team put on a defensive clinic. That might have been the best defense I've seen an SMU team play, ever. Outside of Kentucky, we might be the best defensive team in the country.

It was awesome. Brown basically told Manuel not to switch. Once that happened, no more open looks. Boat put UConn up 10-3, but once Ryan smothered him, SMU completely took over defensively.

Didn't realize how many shots it took Boar to get 19 points. Ryan did a great job last night. We're going to miss him. I'm guessing Sterling will take on the role of best defender next year.

yeah - that is the greatness of LB, and having a mature team that is pretty battle hardened. That one coaching move turned the game our way and then the crowd took over.

I see a lot of similarities in Ryan this year and Shawn last year. Like Shawn, many people wanted Ryan in a backup roll instead of starting earlier in the season but slowly it has became obvious his defense and leadership are key to this team's success. LB is very loyal to seniors and it has really paid off two years in a row.

Agree Boatright is going to get his regardless. But they shout down everyone else.

Yep, and like I said, it took Boatright a boatload of shots to get his 19.
