What was with the police activity toward the end of the game near where our student section and the UConn section meets?

looked like a face off with an unhappy Uconn fan, and our student got the hook. No idea the cause.

I'm sure the cause was the UCONN fan being upset his team was getting destroyed.
Either that or the SMU kids were hammered and acting like jackasses.
Could be either.

Likely a bit of both

I was sitting with my wife, on row 3 behind the UCONN bench. Late in the game, an SMU student was starting to cross the line and was mocking coach Ollie. Coach Ollie's dad was furious and went up to confront the student, the police swarmed them and kicked the student out. I also had a drunk former UCONN football player in front of me, he was obnoxious from the beginning. I told the police to watch him, and after a couple of warnings, he was thrown out with about 5 minutes left in the game. What a night...

Are those your regular seats? I have wondered about the SMU folks who sit right up there in the visitor seats but next to our students. That would be a constantly entertaining seat I would guess.

Neither one sounds that believable.

I was sitting with a friend, and those are his season tickets.

I was wondering why the cops kept pulling that guy aside. What was he doing?
Also I had no idea that was Kevin Ollie's dad. Wow. I was standing two rows in front of the kid who got into it with him. I didn't think he said anything offensive, but he was being very obnoxious.

He (UConn Fan) was F bombing SMU even before the game started, his wife was pretty embarrassed and kept apologizing to us. The UConn fan was trying to provoke confrontation. The police kept warning him, but the liquid backbone was in control.(lol) They finally ejected this UConn fan.

Sucks that this stuff happens, even when alcohol is involved. It really makes our school look bad.

Student started chanting "Kevin who is your valentine" and Kevin's dad snapped. His dad definitely lost it/overreacted but the student left immediately with no retaliation. Pretty funny to be honest.
