He's my MVP. Locked down Cummings in second half and without his two 3s I'm not sure we win. I've been critical of his shooting but dude is a stud this year. Love me some Ryan. Very mature. Keep attacking my man.

Agreed. Only part of his game that has receded. Used to be money from the line. Confidence thing.

As someone who was once pretty vocal about Manuel's mistakes (or would've been if anyone asked my opinion), he's grown leaps and bounds on the offensive end. He plays within his means now -- no more being overly aggressive and picking up fouls or forcing difficult finishes. I'm happy to be proved wrong.

And that's without mentioning his smothering defense lately -- he had that gleam in his eye second half.

Manuel has always been one of my favorites, even when he was struggling. He just plays hard and the way he goes to the hoop is fun to watch - and it is more fun when he master dunks and runs back up the court smiling.

We really relied on him his sophomore year - so it was kind of tough to watch him struggle to score last year. Now that he is playing with confidence and getting more time, he is really improved his game, except for his free pitches. Weird he was our best FT shooter and now it is a crapshoot if he hits the rim. Hope he gets that fixed by March.

I used to cringe when Ryan ran point, or was even in... love it now. I am so happy he finally figured out how to not get charges called on him constantly. That was the single most infuriating thing last year (it probably lost us NIT) It was like he couldn't help it, he could be staring at a firmly planted opponent in the lane and he would just jump straight in to them full speed. So much smarter this year. He's been critical.

Temple came out playing great D and all but took Nic out of the game in that 1st half. When they collapsed their D in that 2nd half in an attempt to cut off the paint, it was critical for someone to step up and spread their D. Ryan's threes were HUGE. Can't let the opponent leave you wide open and challenge you to shoot.

I will add that it was great watching Cannen hit those clutch FTs down the stretch. Seniors were terrific last night.
