I don't know if SMU is recruiting him, but Jason Horton from Cedar Hill was at the game last night. He is one of the top young prospects in Texas right now and is the little brother of Daniel Horton who is starring at Michigan as a freshman. Nothing against our recruits from Georgia and Florida coming in next year, but we need to get some more local guys in the next couple of classes. I hope Jimmy Tubbs leaving wasnt the end of our local recruiting, but I must say I am concerned at this point.

He's an under 6'0 point guard, but he has got to be still growing. I think his brother is 6'2.

It would be the best small backcourt in the land w/Horton and Hopkins. We'd be undersized but supremely talented

Mullet or anyone else, I recall that we have a guard coming in next year who is supposed to be a great shooter. Am I remembering correctly? What are your thoughts on the guy from Plano and the other from Miami? Thanks in advance.

Horton is the No. 8 overall player nationally in his class. I'm sure he's getting LOADS of attention from SMU and every program in the country.

Michael Milton from Plano will only be here if a scholarship opens up. Bennett, from Georgia, is a good outside shooter. Devon Pearson, from Miami, is getting good reviews in current national publications.

I believe the kid from Plano you are talking about is Chris Reay. He committed to SMU as a junior. He is around 6'10" and thick.
Horton is going to be a big-time player. People from Cedar Hill say that he is better than his brother. Horton and Lincoln’s Byron Eaton are both potential top 10 national recruits.
The number of quality recruits coming out of DFW is very impressive. We need to work on keeping a few in Dallas. Losing Tubbs defiantly hurt that cause

another guy out of the 2004 class is Marshall Brown from LBJ... will definitely be a top 100 national recruit... we need to get Avery Cleveland to work on him...
