John Buccigross gave a hilarious comment
"[British accent] Are you staring at my bum? ... Yes to throw a pass to myself!"

Well-executed play. I'd never seen that.

Does Sterling get credited with an assist for that pass?

Yes and every time he flopped he would get up in Markus's face even though Markus man-handled his [deleted] all day.

Thirty or so years ago, Dave Bliss told me about that play. I had never seen it unfold until yesterday.

Not only well-executed but the timing within the game was perfect. The ref just had a talkin-to with Yanick and #44, so he was so caught up with their hand slapping that he quit paying attention to the ball. And it's yet more evidence that Sterling does it all! Incredible how much he gets done on the court.

Have seen that kind of a play pulled off successfully several times over the years - sometimes it's done to avoid having to take a timeout or lose possession, and usually near the end of a close game - this time it was just a total heads-up play by Sterling under his own basket for an easy 2.
