Somehow there was that last brief shinning moment in 1993

Todd was a good 3 point threat. Who was the SMU player found dead?

that was a false alarm about Quinton Ross if you are talking about that link. HE IS VERY MUCH ALIVE-and attended next SMU game to prove it. That link should be taken down

Good article. Kato was so great to watch.

Please correct the spelling in the thread title. Disrespectful to misspell the name of one of an SMU great. Cato is for The Cato Institute and not Kato Armstrong.

Correct. If I recall, A Quinton Ross was found dead, but not OUR Quinton Ross.

Kato remains to this day one of my all time favorite SMU basktball players. Heck, just realized that if you put a hat on him in that picture he would look just like Pharrell Williams!

To this day, I cannot recall anyone (NBA or college) that ran faster dribbling the ball that Kato Armstrong. He is still my favorite SMU basketball player.

I'd probably agree with that with regard to dribbling but the fastest SMU basketball player ever was Carl Wright who was a high school sprinter.

Wright could really sky. He was the original back door alley-oop guy at SMU

I thought Kato was a better all-around player than Wright, but there is no doubt that
Carl could fly and he could sky. It was fun watching both of them play but disappointing
that they both had problems
